Replace a taxi driver licence

It is a criminal offence to drive a licensed vehicle without wearing a valid driver's licence or displaying a valid licence plate on the vehicle.

You should be able to produce the paper vehicle or driver's licence upon the request of a Licensing Officer or the police.

If your paper licence or badge is lost or stolen, it is important that you inform us and apply for a replacement using the appropriate form below.

Change of name or address

If you moved or have changed your name you need to notify us within seven days.

To submit a notification of change of name and/or address you will need to submit the following:

  • Completed application form
  • Supporting documents - please refer to the application form for required documents, theses should be submitted alongside the application form
  • The application fee

The application form can be emailed to licensing@north-herts.gov.uk. When emailing the application form and documents please scan documents separately.

If you have any questions, please email licensing@north-herts.gov.uk. You will be contacted when your amended paper licence and/or badge is ready for collection.
