'Made' Neighbourhood Plan
The Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan was made in May 2022.
Referendum
A referendum for the Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan took place on 5 May 2022. The result of the referendum was 1449 votes in favour of the neighbourhood plan with 243 votes against.
Examination
Nigel McGurk was appointed as the independent examiner for the Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan. The examiners’ report has now been issued and is available along with other examination documents below. Knebworth Parish Council have updated the Neighbourhood Plan accordingly and this is also available below.
Consultations
Consultation on proposed submission Neighbourhood Plan – Regulation 16
Knebworth Parish Council submitted their neighbourhood plan to North Hertfordshire District Council on 14 March 2021.
The consultation took place from 21 April to 9 June 2021.
The plan sets out a vision for the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications within the parish.
The representations to the neighbourhood plan can be viewed on our consultation portal. Your comments will be collated and forwarded on to an independent examiner. The independent examiner will only consider whether the proposed neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions and other requirements set out by law. Consultation on pre-submission Neighbourhood Plan – Regulation 14
The Parish Council have previously consulted on a draft neighbourhood plan on the 21 March to 9 May 2020. More information can be found on the Knebworth Parish Council Website.
Neighbourhood Area Designation
The Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated by Cabinet on 14 June 2016. The Parish Council was the relevant body that applied for designation. A map of the neighbourhood plan area can be found below.
