'Made' Neighbourhood Plan
The Baldock, Bygrave and Clothall Neighbourhood Plan was made on 29 June 2021. It now forms part of the Development Plan for North Hertfordshire.
Referendum
At a meeting of Cabinet on 26 January 2021 it was agreed that, subject to a series of modifications set out by the examiner and the Council, the Baldock, Bygrave and Clothall Neighbourhood Plan should be subject to a referendum.
A referendum for the Preston Parish Neighbourhood Plan took place on 6 May 2021.
The result of the referendum was:
- 3101 votes in favour of the neighbourhood plan
- 413 votes against
The neighbourhood plan will be "made" by the Council at a Cabinet meeting in June 2021.
Post Examinations Modifications
The Council proposed a number of modifications to the neighbourhood plan which are different to the modifications recommended by the examiner.
Consultation has taken place on those additional modifications and these can be viewed through our online consultation software.
Examination
John Parmiter was appointed as the independent examiner for the Baldock, Bygrave and Clothall Neighbourhood Plan. During the examination, the examiner asked for further details on a number of issues. Neighbourhood Plan Area Designation
The Baldock, Bygrave and Clothall Neighbourhood Planning Area was designated by Cabinet on 25 July 2017. Bygrave Parish Council was the relevant body that applied for designation. A map of the neighbourhood planning area can be found below.
