It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of former Leader of the Council, Councillor F John Smith, who died on Christmas Day.

Three community groups have been awarded a total of £2,441* following a delegated decision of the Southern Rural Committee in December. 

To help younger generations get involved and ‘never forget’, we are reminding children and young people to enter our competition based on the 2022 theme ‘One day’, by 16 January.

Additional funding will be made available to local businesses in the New Year that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Christmas came early for the children of Letchworth as the play areas at Howard Park and Gardens reopened after being closed for three months for a major refurbishment.
