A fantastic first session of flower arranging took place at the Heathy Hub in Letchworth this week (Tuesday), with 11 adults making some lovely spring creations.
Facilitated by Heaven Flowers, each person was given a brick of Oasis foam tied to a drip tray for watering, raffia and wire, scissors and secateurs, and a variety of greenery, branches and flowers, including tulips and chrysanthemums. With a step-by-step demonstration, everyone created their own version of a natural flower display to take home.
Comments from participants included:
- “It was a truly lovely experience. Thank you.”
- “Great time, friendly staff. Good opportunity to try something new.”
- “Really enjoyed the experience. Gave me a couple of hours to relax and enjoy myself.”
Sessions take place every fortnight and offer different activities for both adults and children and are completely free. Numbers are limited so please book your place – email healthyhub@north-herts.gov.uk or call 01462 474111.
