A walk-through experience where you can immerse yourself in the world of Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit is coming to North Herts Museum.
Little ones will be able to crawl under the garden gate, hide in a watering can and see their reflection in a mirror pool, just like Peter Rabbit, with photo opportunities and activities to take part in along the way.
The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter was first published by Frederick Warne & Co. (now part of Penguin Random House UK) in 1902. The story follows a mischievous and disobedient young rabbit as he gets into, and is chased around, the garden of Mr McGregor. In celebration of the anniversary of this classic little book, and over 120 years of mischief, Frederick Warne & Co. are delighted to present The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail.
So join us for a sneaky, playful adventure from 24 June until 26 August – entry is free and an average visit lasts 30 minutes. There will be quiet hours for autistic and neurodivergent people, people with ADHD, and their families, which take place on Monday 3 July, 9.30-10.30am, and Tuesday 25 July, 9.30-10.30am – please book a free space so we can manage numbers.
