Specific story sessions for toddlers involving fun activities, music and face painting are taking place on a monthly basis at North Herts Museum in Hitchin.
Featuring books by Jill Murphy and the Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson, tickets cost £8 per child or £15 for two children – parents attend for free (maximum two adults per child).
- Saturday 24 June – The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson
- Saturday 8 July – On the Way Home by Jill Murphy
- Saturday 29 July – Five Minutes’ Peace by Jill Murphy
Cllr Keith Hoskins, Executive Member for Enterprise and Arts, said: “These sessions are designed by our own Museum Learning Officer and a professional music teacher so that toddlers can get the most out of them while developing a love for storytelling and reading.”

North Herts Museum is located on Brand Street, Hitchin, open Tue-Sat 10.30am-4.30pm and Sun 11am-3pm, and general admission is free.
