NHDC was given the responsibility of distributing grant funding provided by Central Government to North Herts businesses that qualified for financial help during the coronavirus pandemic.
Cllr Ian Albert, NHDC’s Executive Member for Finance said: "We know how essential these payments are for local business and, 950 payments worth a total of over £12 million were processed by Wednesday evening 15th April; those payments will be received by applicants on Friday (17th).
“A further 145 cases with a value of £1.8 million will be processed today (16th) and will be received by businesses on Monday (20th). We continue to process Small Business Grant Fund applications that are received on a daily basis and urge eligible businesses that have not yet applied to do so as soon as possible to receive the financial assistance to which they are entitled.”
