Remembrance Day parades and services in North Hertfordshire

Remembrance Sunday services and parades will be taking place across the district on Sunday 10 November. Please find below a list of services and parades across North Hertfordshire on this date.

Ashwell

  • 10am Service of Remembrance at St Mary’s Church followed by procession to War Memorial
  • 10.45am Act of Remembrance at Ashwell War Memorial- start time 10.50am
  • 5pm Eucharist of Remembrance at St Mary’s Church

Baldock

  • 10.30am The High Street on parade
  • 11.00am Wreath Laying - War Memorial short service
  • 12.15pm Finish

Barkway

  • 10.50am Remembrance Service at Barkway War Memorial followed by service at St Mary Magdalene Church

Barley

  • 10.50am Remembrance Service at Barley War Memorial followed by service at St Margaret of Antioch Church

Cockernhoe

  • 10.45am Remembrance Service at St Hugh's Church

Codicote

  • 10.50am Remembrance Service at St. Giles Church

Graveley

  • 9.30am Remembrance Service at St Mary's Church.

Great Offley

  • 9.30am Said Requiem Eucharist at St Mary Magdalene Church
  • 10.50am Churches Together Remembrance Service at St Mary Magdalene Church

Great Wymondley

  • 10.45am Remembrance Service at St Mary’s Church

Hitchin

  • 1.45pm Parade sets off at 2pm from the Town Hall, Brand Street, into High Street. Then Market Square round to St. Mary’s Church where the Service will start at 2.30pm
  • 2.30pm Service of  Remembrance at St Mary’s
  • 3pm – 3.30pm Wreath Laying. War Memorial will be after the Church Service

  • 9.30am Communion at St Katharine's Church followed by Act of Remembrance on the village green at 10.50am

  • 3pm Remembrance Service at St Faith's Church

Kimpton

  • 9.30am Meet at Kimpton Memorial Hall
  • 10am Parade gathers in hall car park
  • 10.20am Parade to War Memorial and St Peter and Paul Church
  • 10.45am Church service (if you are going straight to the church please ensure you are seated by 10.30am)

Kings Walden

  • Remembrance Service, 10.50am, St Mary’s Church

Knebworth

  • 12.10pm Parade - Lytton Arms at 12.30 pm (gather at 12.10pm)
  • 12.30pm Wreath Laying – Cenotaph, Old Knebworth

  • 11.45 am Service of Remembrance at the Free Church straight after the town service.

  • 9.30am Act of Remembrance at St Martins' Church

  • 9am Reed Remembrance Communion, St Mary’s Church
  • 6pm Reed Remembrance Evensong

Royston

  • 10am Gather at Town Hall. Parade from Queens Road through to Melbourne Street arrive 10.35am
  • 10.45am Wreath Laying, Melbourne Street War Memorial. Gather at 10.30 am
  • 10.45am Service of Remembrance is held in Melbourne Street, then onto Melbourne Road for dispersal
  • 11.15am Finish

  • 10.15am Remembrance Sunday with Cubs and Beavers plus choir at St Ippolyts Church

  • 10.45am Remembrance Service at All Saint's Church

Whitwell

  • 3pm Remembrance Service at Whitwell War Memorial will be followed by a march along the High Street.
