North Herts Leisure Centre (NHLC) in Letchworth is celebrating after winning a national award for its excellent facilities and customer service.
The Quest National Benchmarking Service* (NBS) Awards judge leisure facilities across the country in a number of different categories, including customer satisfaction, efficiency, access and customer use.
NHLC received the Overall National Benchmarking Service Award for its performance across all categories at the Quest NBS Awards. Representatives of Stevenage Leisure Ltd (SLL) picked up their prestigious award at the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity and Quest NBS Conference at Pride Park Stadium in Derby on 27 February.
The leisure centre is owned by North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC) and managed and run on a day-to-day basis by SLL.
Councillor Steve Jarvis, NHDC’s Executive Member for Leisure said: “I am very pleased that North Herts Leisure Centre has been recognised in this way. The Stevenage Leisure team and the council’s staff work together to deliver a wide range of high-quality leisure services to local people and it’s great to see that this hard work has paid off.”
David Brame, Chief Executive of SLL said: “SLL take great pride in the facilities we manage on behalf of our local authority partners. For NHLC to be recognised nationally for their overall performance and customer satisfaction levels is a fantastic achievement of which everyone involved is exceptionally proud.”
