North Herts Community Lottery marks two-year milestone, £25,000 raised for good causes

Date

The North Herts Community Lottery is proud to announce a significant milestone as it celebrates its second anniversary, having raised over £25,000 to support local charities and groups. Since the first draw took place in March 2022, the lottery has awarded prizes to more than 1,000 winners while making a tangible difference in the community.

Steve Crowley, North Herts Council’s Service Director - Enterprise, commended the community's support, stating, "We're delighted with the success of the North Herts Community Lottery. The funds raised have directly benefited a variety of local causes, showcasing the generosity and solidarity of our residents."

With prizes ranging from extra tickets to a jackpot of £25,000, as well as sought-after items like the iPhone 15 Pro Titanium, the lottery continues to engage participants with exciting incentives.

"Have you played yet?" asks Steve Crowley. "For just £1 per ticket, you stand a chance to win while supporting vital community initiatives. It's a simple way to make a positive impact in North Herts."

Every Saturday, a six-digit winning combination is drawn, offering participants the opportunity to win while contributing to local causes. Half of every £1 ticket sale directly supports these initiatives, ensuring that funds are reinvested into the community. The lottery has also committed nearly £12,000 to its own community work this year, furthering its dedication to local causes.

Local groups interested in benefiting from the lottery are encouraged to sign up as good causes. With 49 organisations already registered, there's ample opportunity to join the initiative and receive 50% of ticket sales.
