Hybrid working: some Flexibility with homeworking and office-based days

Contract: Fixed term – 18 months. 37 hours per week, to be available to between the hours of 8.45am and 5pm Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to work occasional evening and weekends (approximately once a month).

An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Herts Council for an entry-level position within North Hertfordshire Museum. Working with the Education Officer, duties will include:

  • Assist in the delivery and development of museum education sessions, toddler and holiday workshops.
  • Working with collections to help develop high quality loans boxes and holiday activities.
  • To maintain and update the loans online system manage the issues and returns online.
  • To ensure that accurate records are maintained, and administrative systems are up to date and accurate using appropriate software package, electronic document management system

Successful applicants will:

  • Be an effective team player
  • Be a self-starter and able to prioritise work
  • Be able to take their talents or hobbies and repurpose them into Museum based applications, e.g. 3D printing or Reenactment
  • Be Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.

As part of your employment, you will study for and complete a Cultural Learning & Participation Officer Level 3 Apprenticeship.
