The role

As an Estates Surveyor at North Herts Council, you will play a vital role in managing and maximizing the potential of a commercial property portfolio. You will undertake a range of estate and asset management duties relating to the Council’s operational, investment and non-operational premises, including landlord and tenant matters, property acquisitions, disposals, and developments. You will contribute directly to the effective delivery of estate and asset management service and assist in the development of appropriate systems and methods to ensure its effectiveness. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in areas of mutual interest to enable an effective service delivery will be a key responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative team.

The experience you will bring

  • Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • A degree or equivalent in Estate Management, Property Management, or another relevant subject.
  • Good knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law.
  • Experience in Estate Management, including negotiating commercial rent reviews and leases.
  • The ability to negotiate lease agreements.
