The role

This is a genuine opportunity for you to lead and develop our Environmental Protection and Housing Team to ensure delivery of Environmental Health and Protection services in our communities.

The experience you will bring

You will be responsible for managing a small team which we expect to expand. You will need a keen interest in health, improving air quality, the local environment and addressing the impact that housing stock has on our residents.

You should be a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Practitioner, with an extensive knowledge of housing and environmental protection and experience in managing teams. You will need to demonstrate a passion for developing and inspiring individuals in the team, and supporting their profession development. You will lead on our more complex investigations, including taking enforcement action where necessary.
