Our community survey is a digital survey we hold every six months. It enables us to hear from our residents on a regular basis.
Zencity, independent community engagement experts, carry out the survey on behalf of the council and ask people living or working in the district about their experience of North Herts Council, how satisfied they are with the council’s services, what it’s like to live in North Herts, and whether they feel the council involves the local community in decision-making.
For those residents who don’t have digital access, councillors will provide support with completing the survey at councillor surgeries and residents can also call Customer Services on 01462 474000 to make an appointment to visit the Council Offices in Letchworth.

District Wide Survey
The community survey replaced the district wide survey, which was a consultation exercise that took place every two years. The survey was carried out to measure people's satisfaction with the council and our services.
The survey consisted of approximately 1,000 residents from across North Herts who were consulted by telephone interview carried out by independent professional consultants.
The last district wide survey was carried out in 2022.
