Are you a community group looking for funding to help complete a project in North Herts?

Apply for a grant between £5,000 and £20,000 from the council’s Prosperity Fund, a pot of £210,000 from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Grants must be spent by the end of March 2025, so we are looking for projects that are ready to start soon. Proposed projects should meet at least one of the council’s three priorities – People first, Sustainability, and A brighter future together – as well as a government list of interventions which includes:

  • Improving town centres and high streets
  • Creating and improving greenspaces
  • Designing out crime
  • Arts, cultural, heritage and creative activities
  • Active travel enhancements
  • Sports facilities and activities
  • Measures to help reduce the cost of living

Cllr Val Bryant, Executive Member for Community & Partnerships, said: “This is another great opportunity for community groups, parish councils and social enterprises to apply for one-off funding for a particular project. These grants will allow us to help our cash-strapped community organisations to provide important local services, which impact greatly on our communities. Our Community & Partnerships team is more than happy to provide pre-application advice so please do get in touch.”

The deadline for applications is 1 September.
