The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Herts Council for a Communications Apprentice within our busy Communications team. 

Working as a key member of the Communications team, this role will be responsible for creating and publishing a weekly report on media coverage; a weekly report for members; creating and updating the quarterly comms activity planner and results dashboard and supporting the Digital Comms Officer with social media, photography and film. As part of your employment, you will study for and complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship or in in a similar subject.

The experience you will bring

We’re looking for a team player with an interest in business, communications and marketing. You will have a high level of attention to detail, a passion to get involved and be able to juggle a number of different projects on the go. A love of social media is essential, with some experience of photography and film desirable. Above all, we’re looking for a self-starter, who is a willing to learn and keen to join a fun and hardworking team.
