The role

Join our team as an Assistive Technologies Welfare and Safeguarding Officer and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. This vital role involves identifying and addressing welfare concerns through data analysis, welfare visits, and safeguarding referrals.

You will work closely with Adult Social Care and other agencies to support clients facing complex needs, such as self-neglect or service misuse. As a key part of our Careline service, you will challenge and improve practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users. If you’re passionate about safeguarding, thrive on solving problems, and have a strong background in welfare, this is your opportunity to be at the heart of meaningful change.

The experience you will bring

The ideal candidate will bring experience in welfare and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of procedures and protocols related to vulnerable individuals. They will have a proven ability to analyse data and identify risks, ideally gained through working in Adult Social Care or similar settings. Experience managing complex cases, including those involving self-neglect or high-demand service users, is essential.

The candidate will also be skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, making safeguarding referrals, and liaising with external agencies to ensure positive outcomes for clients. They will be comfortable working independently to manage multiple cases, prioritise tasks, and maintain detailed records to support the welfare of service users.

Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to present findings effectively to inform decision-making, are crucial. Additionally, experience in challenging and improving operational practices to reduce risks and enhance client wellbeing will be highly valuable.

A background that demonstrates empathy, problem-solving, and critical thinking, combined with strong interpersonal skills, will make the candidate a perfect fit for this role.

Please note, the successful applicant for the above post will be background checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
