Polling stations

You cast your vote during an election at a polling station.

Shortly before an election you will receive a poll card with the address of the polling station you should use.

Voter ID: You will need to bring photo ID with you to vote at a polling station.

At each polling station there will be a Presiding Officer and a Polling Clerk who will issue ballot papers and check the eligibility of voters when they come in against the Electoral Register.

Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on the day of the election.

If you will not be able to attend the polling station between these times you may prefer to vote by post or appoint a proxy.
